This 6 night 7 day adventure will take you from the Scottish Borders to the Scottish Highlands and pretty much everywhere in between! During this experience you will sample some of the world’s finest whisky, visit world renowned historic sites, take in the sea air on Scotland’s coast line, visit Scotland’s two national parks and so much more. This Big Scottish Adventure is also available on a self drive option. Pick up points located throughout the UK. Hire vehicle will be a Vauxhall Insignia or similar. Drivers must be aged 30 or over.
1-3 persons = 1 vehicle
4-6 persons = 2 vehicles

Rooms are based on two people sharing.
Guests are limited to 1 x cabin sized luggage per person or 1 x larger suitcase per couple.

Day 1
Collection of party

Travel to a small fishing village in Scottish Borders – Eyemouth

Head inland to Kelso

Visit Floors Estate and Castle
Follow the river Tweed upstream – Melrose
Visit Melrose Abbey
Continue your journey along the river Tweed
Overnight stay in the Macdonald Cardrona Hotel & Spa

Day 2
Enjoy a hearty breakfast
Depart hotel at approx 0800hrs
Day 2 starts with a journey of around 1hour 20minutes to Glasgow
A visit to the People’s Palace museum to learn about how Glaswegians lived, worked and played in years gone by
Head north west to Loch Lomond
Lunch
Boat trip on Scotland’s largest loch
Head east to Stirling
Coffee Stop
Visit to Stirling Castle
Visit to Stirling Bridge

Day 3

Head north west towards the coast
Pit stop at the Green Welly

Continue your journey towards Oban

Depart Oban and head North along the coast

Visit to Glencoe

Continue your journey to Fort William
Overnight stay at the Ben Nevis Hotel and Lesuire Club in the footprint of Scotland’s highest mountain

Day 4 – The Longest Day

Depart Hotel around 0800hrs
Begin your journey north towards the Scottish Highlands
Visit to Fort Augustus and Loch Ness
Coffee Stop
Continue north towards Inverness where you will stop for a short break

Continue north where you will travel for around 1hour to Dunrobin Castle
Depart Dunrobin Castle and head back south
Chanonry Point – Dolphin watching (hopefully!)
Continue south towards your place of rest for the evening within the Cairngorms National Park
Overnight accomodation at the Coylumbridge Hotel in Aviemore

Day 5
Enjoy a hearty breakfast
Depart hotel around 0930hrs
Visit to the Cairngorm Mountain base station
Photo opportunity at Loch Morlich
Lunch
Land Rover Safari at Rothiemurchus Estate where you will visit the highland cattle, get up close and personal with the red deer hinds and take in some spectacular views over the Cairngorms and Loch an Eilein
Depart Aviemore
Dalwhinnie Distillery tour and whisky tasting
Quick pit stop in Pitlochry
Coffee stop

Head towards St Andrews via the Tay Bridge
