The Loch Lomond Angling Improvement Association has to be one of the biggest and best fisheries of it’s kind in the United Kingdom with coarse fishing, trout fishing, salmon fishing and sea trout fishing on offer.

With this selection members will have the choice to visit either the:

River Leven

At only 6 miles long tide fresh fish are a regular occurrence. A fishery that allows fly fishing, spinning and bait fishing at certain times of the season. The area around Bonhill Bridge is strictly fly only. Sea trout can only provide excellent sport during May June and July.

River Endrick

A classic spate river that can be phenomenal on it’s day. Fish this straight after a spate and it can be magical. A single handed fly rod is all you will need. The river Endrick is Strictly fly only.

River Fruin

Another classic spate river where a single handed fly rod, the ‘right’ fly and dropping water after a spate is the recipe for success. The river Fruin is strictly fly only.

Loch Lomond

Also known as the big loch it promises to provide you with a a totally different day out. Whether you want to troll for salmon or ferox trout, coarse fish from the bank or fly fishing for salmon, sea trout or brown trout from a drifting boat Loch Lomond can provide it all. If you fancy a day afloat whether trolling or fly fishing from a drifting boat contact John Bell at The Lomond Angler who for an additional fee will provide his guiding services and boat to ensure you have a wonderful day. This must be booked direct with John and is in no way affiliated to The Experience Passport Ltd.  Life Jackets are compulsory when boat fishing on Loch Lomond.

Clyde Estuary

Said to be one of the best salt water sea trout fisheries in Scotland providing fantastic sport whether you are fly fishing or spinning with lure or bait fish strips. Members must satisfy themselves with surrounding and be sure to check tide times to ensure you stay safe at all times.

Members are advised to use appropriate PPE when fishing LLAIA waters – life jacket, peaked hat, eye protection and wading stick when in the water.
